The English actor, 35, 'is in early talks' to appear in the forthcoming release from the successful dinosaur franchise, sources told Deadline Monday.
Bailey is the latest big name linked to the film, which is written by David Koepp and directed by Gareth Edwards (The Creator, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Godzilla).
Scarlett Johansson, 39, 'is also in talks' to appear in the Jurassic World film, insiders told Deadline, while sources told The Hollywood Reporter the Oscar-nominated actress 'is already on the call sheet for the feature.'
Bailey won a Critics Choice Award earlier this year for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for playing role of Tim Laughlin on Showtime's Fellow Travelers.

Edwards was hired after extensive meetings with studio execs last week, including producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall, according to Deadline.
Pre-production on the motion picture is expected to pick up after business arrangements are completed.

Jurassic alums Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are not involved with the next release, according to the outlet.
Bailey, who has been seen on TV shows such as Bridgerton, Broadchurch, Crashing and W1A, 'has strong ties with Universal' as he appears in the forthcoming two-part film Wicked in the role of Fiyero, sources told Deadline.
Bailey appears in Wicked with Goldblum, as well as Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh.
Universal exes were 'high on [Bailey's] performance' in the musical, a prequel to the Wizard of Oz, sources told Deadline.
The next incarnation in the Jurassic World franchise comes more than 30 years after the 1993 release of Jurassic Park, which was directed by Spielberg.

The film has a tentative release date of July 2, 2025.
